It’s been a busy time in the Liberal Arts camp. On top of our usual teaching, supervisions and research work, the core team of module leaders have been finalising the workshops, seminars and classes for next year’s students. From the political and economic dynamics of food security, to the ethical and cultural issues raised by the ways we deal with corpses, next year’s Liberal Arts students are going to see the world in new ways.

I’ll post detailed descriptions about our core modules and some of our option modules in due course, but in the meantime, have a look at our web pages, and look out for a post by my colleague Dr Alan Outram, Head of Archaeology, in which he’ll be talking more about the Foodways and Consumption module he’ll be leading.

The other exciting piece of news is that we’ve made a short animated film about our Liberal Arts degree programme. Highlights include some sheep, a fleshy brain and Barack Obama … Intrigued?! Watch this space – it will be online very soon!
